I am a mother, a wife and a healer. I am a Filipino-Chinese womxn practicing Traditional Chinese medicine and Western Herbal medicine in Tkaronto/Toronto. My practice is built through connection - with individuals, their families but most importantly, with themselves. I learned this firsthand as acupuncture and herbal medicine have been a great part of my journey through pregnancy, postpartum and the ever-evolving life of parenthood.
With a background in community service and in youth and family programming, I am learning that I can continue to support and empower individuals and families of various waves of health by fusing modern lifestyles with traditional modalities and medicine.
I am a graduate of the Institute of Traditional Medicine (ITM) where I completed my diploma in Acupuncture and Eastern Herbal Medicine with a focus in Western Herbal Medicine as well. I have completed over 900 clinical hours through student clinics at ITM, The People with AIDS Foundation and Fertility Toronto. I have also trained with Dr. Martha Lucas in the beautiful art of Mei Zen cosmetic acupuncture. I am currently working towards my Registered Acupuncturist license while practicing under the direct supervision of Jen Bowers.
Fun fact: At a young age, I was taught the art of bentosa (cupping in Tagalog) by my mother and it is like my hands have never forgotten the movements.
